Deep Cleansing Facial
Deep Cleansing Facial
A good skin care regimen requires more than just washing your face. Deep cleansing is the process of thoroughly removing any excess oils and impurities from your skin that may have been hard to remove with basic cleansing, along with blackheads and whiteheads.
Skin is constantly exposed to impurities, causing acne and blackheads. Deep cleansing helps eliminate these impurities so skin looks radiant.
Human skin turnover is every 28 days, that means the sebum and dead skin cells need to be deep cleaned off to allow your skin to regenerate properly. Deep cleansing involves manually removing the impurities on the surface of your face while leaving the moisture barrier intact. The product contains gentle scrub ingredients which can effectively remove superficial dirt, blackheads, and whiteheads to improve your complexion in a short time.
Deep cleansing is an important part of our skin’s health. Blackheads and impurities clog the pores, but our skin is capable of recovering from these, if you give it the chance.
We recommend deep cleaning to be done once every month.
What is blackheads?
Blackheads are a type of acne that typically affect the face, neck, and chest. They appear as spots of black or brown in the opening of blackheads, due to the oxidation (literally rusting) of the plugs of oil – known as sebum – that encourages acne. Blackheads may sometimes seem like large pores at first glance. However they actually comprise a plug of oil (sebum) below the surface of your skin, clogged with dead skin cells, and surrounded by fine hair called vellus hair.
What is ACNE?
Acne affects almost half of the world’s population. This skin disease can be treated or even prevented, and it follows the same principles in all individuals regardless of age, gender, skin color or ethnic origin. ACNE is the result of a combination of internal and external factors that impact on the quantity and quality of oil produced by our sebaceous glands. It is a problem for teenagers, but the earlier it occurs in life, the more severe the condition tends to be. We all produce hormones that trigger excess growth of greasy hair andoil production. This will often occur directly before or around puberty due to increased levels of these hormones.
PH of the Skin
The pH, or “acid/alkaline” balance of the skin, is one of the most important elements for healthy looking and feeling skin. The acid mantle layer, which sits on top of the skin, balances the body’s normal PH level between acidic (pH 4-5) and alkaline (pH 7-9), preventing too much moisture loss and damage from germs and bacteria. Our pH of the deep cleansing helps to maintain this important acid mantle layer by using an ultra-mild, soap-free cleanser that gently removes dirt and impurities without stripping it away.
